Mable W. Tanner, 89, died Sept. 27 at Moss Oaks Nursing Home in Pooler. She was born in Wheeler County and lived in Savannah for many years. She was the widow of Ivy L. Tanner.

SURVIVORS: a daughter, Sarah J. Horton of Savannah; two sons, V. Jerome and James L. Tanner, both of Statesboro; two sisters, Marvis Brandon of Florence, S.C., and Virginia Ogilvie of Perry; two brothers, W.C. Watson of Helena and William J. Watson of Bradenton, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. -Savannah Now, Oct 1999
