BAXTER — Funeral services for Collie Dewey Anderson Jr., 80, of Carthage, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will be in Smellage Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today, Monday, Oct. 1, and after 8 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Anderson died Saturday morning, Sept. 29, 2012, in Smith County Health Care Center in Carthage.
He was born Nov. 3, 1931, in the Buffalo Valley community of Putnam County to the late Collie Dewey and Ruby Johnson Anderson.
Mr. Anderson attended Buckner Free Will Baptist Church and was a farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Loyd, Charles "BUD" and Carl Anderson, and two nephews, Dewayne and Timmy Anderson.
