BAXTER Funeral services for Collie Dewey Anderson, 89, of Silver Point will be held Saturday, October 3, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Smellage Cemetery.
Mr. Anderson died Wednesday, September 30, 1992 at his home.
He was born in Putnam County on June 20, 1903 to the late Tony and Elizabeth (Brown) Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a farmer and a member of the Methodist Church.
His family includes one daughter, Linda Carr of Baxter; seven sons, Junior, Lloyd, Joe, Bud and David Anderson, all of Silver Point, Dean Anderson of Cookeville and Ray Anderson of Niles, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his wife, Rubye Lee (Johnson) Anderson; one daughter, Charlene Anderson; one son, Carl Anderson; one grandson, Dewayne Anderson and six brothers.
