FORDLAND -- Double funeral services for Mrs. Ella Townlian, 79, Fordland, and her daughter, Mrs. Nadine Gardner, 54, Fordland, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Fordland Baptist Church with the Rev. L. L. Rodgers officiating. Burial for Mrs. Townlian will be in Fordland Cemetery and for Mrs. Gardner will be in Springfield National Cemetery.

Mrs. Townlian died at 3:25 a.m. Monday in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, after a long illness.

Mrs. Gardner died at 9:36 a.m. Monday in Cox Medical Center, Springfield, also after a long illness.

Mrs. Townlian was a member of First Baptist Church, Fordland.

Survivors include a son, Jesse, Rogersville; two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Frost, St. Louis and Mrs. Norma Jean Large, Collinsville, Ark.; two stepsons, Robert, State of California, and Everett, Boonville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ada Cardwell, state of Oregon, and Mrs. Mary Anderson, St. Louis, three sisters, Mrs. Susan Smith, Springfield, Mrs. Georgia Burkhart, Davenport, Iowa, and Mrs. Liene Hoy, International Falls, Minn.: 23 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Other survivors of Mrs. Gardner include her husband, Russell and a daughter, Ella Kaye Farris, state of California.

The family will be in the Marsh of Fordland Funeral Home from 7 to 9 tonight.
