Funeral services for Allie Carter, 88, of Crossville, who passed away March 9, 1997, were conducted March 11 from the chapel of Burris Funeral Home with interment at Tom Davis Cemetery. Rev. Ricky Lewis officiated.
Pallbearers were Jessie Hyder, Anthony Loshbough, Gary Myers, Bill Norris, Ray Young, and Donnie Justice.
Mrs. Carter was born March 11, 1909 in Cumberland County to Henry and Darthula Hall. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Barlow Carter and son, Zebedee Carter.
Survivors include her eight children of Cumberland County; 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
Burris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
