Mrs. Norris was born March 18, 1928, in Pickett County, TN, the daughter of Barlow and Allie Hall Carter.
She was a greenhouse worker, and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her sons, James Norris and Charles W. Norris, both of Crossville, and Jack Norris of Pikeville; daughters, Stella Janow, Virginia Norris, Oma Meadows, Katherine Dunlap and Michele Bartlett, all of Crossville; brother, Clyde Carter of Crossville; sisters, Christine Powers, Rosetta Adams, Hazel Clark and Pearl Wyatt, all of Crossville; 20 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Barlow and Allie Carter; husband, John W. Norris Sr.; son, John W. Norris Jr.; brother, Zebedee Carter; sister, Ave Gladys Maynard; and grandchildren, Adam Joel Boles, Junior Lynn Norris and Jordan Matthew Bartlett....
