Thomas McIndoo was born August 27, 1840, and departed this life May 20, 1892. He was a sufferer from lung trouble for many years. He united with the Christian church when quite young. He volunteered as a Union soldier in 1863, but on account of sickness was discharged and returned. He was born in Owen county, and it has always been his home. He leaves a wife and two children, four sisters and three brothers, and a large circle of friends to mourn his death, He was buried om May 22 on the home farm, the Rev. Price conducting the funeral services. He was a good citizen, loved by all, and will be missed in the community in which he resided.
Thomas was the son of James McIndoo and Sarah Mounts. He married first Amanda William and had the following known children: Eva & Gertrude.
