Melinda Gail Taylor, age 52, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 20, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Chasity Gregg Davis; father, William Harold Taylor; nephew, Tommy France; and father of her children, Jimmy Gregg.
She is survived by her son, Jason Gregg; grandchildren, Hunter Smith, Kaylea Davis and Isaac Mullins; mother, Alma Taylor Winkle; brothers, Ricky (Lori) Taylor, Donnie (Libby) Taylor, Gary (Judy) Taylor and David (Anita) Taylor; sister, Ann (Bobby) Valentine; also several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; and other family and friends. Special thank you to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice, Kelsey Dockery and Cody Holloway.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Saturday, September 22, 2012 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Marta Cogburn officiating. Burial will be held 2:00 pm Sunday in Stokely Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Saturday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral.
