David Taylor

David Taylor, age 52, passed into his heavenly home, Thursday, June 8, 2017.

He has a special kindness and an intense desire to serve. He loved his family and friends and always displayed a smile and had encouraging words for others. He recently retired from the local hospital after almost 30 years. He served on the county legislative body for 12 years. He enjoyed carpentry and home improvement projects after retirement. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Crossroads Church until his recent illness.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Taylor; sisters, Gail Taylor and Ann Valentine; and brothers, Donnie Taylor and Gary Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Taylor; sons Matthew (Allison) Taylor and Isaac Taylor; mother, Alma Winkle; brother, Ricky (Lori) Taylor; special friend, Robin Hogan; brothers-in-law, Bobby Valentine and Darin McGaha.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice for their excellent care and compassion and to Jamie Yarbrough, a special caregiver and friend.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Crossroads Church or to the charity of your choice.
