Mrs. Lucas worked as a cook at the Columbus Bar. She was employed by Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp., working in Central Middle School’s Dietary Department, where she retired.
She was a 42-year member of Ohio Street Wesleyan Church, where she was a board member, Sunday School superintendent, Bible School teacher, song leader and greeter.
She enjoyed music, drawing and sewing.
She is survived by daughters, Daisy M. Vaughn and Linda G. Ragan of Columbus, Joyce I. Morgan of Winterhaven, Fla., Sharon R. White of Butler, Ala., and Debbie D. Fink of Jonesville; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Nov. 3, 1979; a son, Larry W. Lucas; and 13 brothers and sisters.
