DEATH COMES TO MRS. ANNA KVETENSKY

After a brief illness, Mrs. Anna Kvetensky, died December 19, 1949, at the family home in the east part of town. She had been a resident of our city for about 14 years. To those who knew Mrs. Kvetensky she was a true Christian woman, always kind hearted, and willing to do for others.

Anna Kvetensky was born in Lestina, in Czechoslovakia, as daughter of Frantisek and Anna Nunvar, September 12th, 1878. In 1896 she was united in marriage to Vaclav Kvetensky and they established their first home in Sucha Lhota, Czechoslovakia. They lived there until 1910 when they moved to the United States, and settled on a farm in the vicinity of Clarkson. They spent most of their life on a farm, and in 1935, they retired from active farm work. Mr. Kvetensky preceded his wife in death in 1941.

She did at the age of 71 years, 3 months, and 7 days. She was a member of the ZCBJ lodge and the New Zion Presbyterian church in Clarkson. Survivors include five daughters, Emily, Mrs. Jos. Perina of near Madison; Anna, Mrs. Chas. Lowder of Omaha; Mary, Mrs. Blahous Chleboun of Stanton county; Rose, Mrs. Lumir Hrouda of Stanton county, and Lillie, Mrs. Emil Studnicka, of this city; and seven sons, Ladislav of Elyria; Joseph of Omaha, James, Emil, and Rudolph of Roger, Jerry and Adolph of Brainard. She also leaves eighteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one sister, Francis Kopic of Omaha. Two sons, Karel and Bohumil, and daughter Libbie preceded their mother in death several years ago.

Novotny Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangement and the rites were held Thursday forenoon from the family home to the New Zion Presbyterian church where Rev. Filip8i had charge of the rites. Burial was made in the Clarkson cemetery. Pallbearers were Edward Loukota, frank J. Srb, Frank Kubik, Jos. Stoklasa Sr., E.E. Dudek, and Jachym Kabes.

Those who attended the funeral services from a distance were: Mrs. John Kopic, Mrs. Frank Dusek and daughter, Mrs. Ann Lowder, Orville Meacham, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kvetensky and family, all of Omaha: Miss Lillian Penas of Ord: Lad Kvetensky, Lad, Jr., Joe, and Martha Mae of Elyria; Adolph and Jerry Kvetensky of Brainard, Jimmy and Rudolph Kvetensky of Rogers; Mr. and Mrs. Lambert Perina and son, of Lincoln; Bob and Audrey Chleboun of Crete.'
