Jerry Kvetensky Rites in Clarkson

Funeral services for Jerry Kvetensky of Brainard, NE were held Tuesday Jan. 16, 1968 at 11:00 a.m. at the Miller Funeral Home in Clarkson. The Rev. Sidney J. Raymond of the New Zion Presbyterian Church, Clarkson, was in charge of the services in the funeral home and at the interment in the Clarkson National Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Leonard Lowder, Emil Studnicka, Don Chleboun, Eldon Hrouda, Charles Rozmarin, and George Fryzek.

Jerry Kvetensky, son of Vaclav and Anna (Nunvar) Kvetensky was born in Sucha Lhota, Bohemia on March 29, 1909. He came to the United States in 1910 with his parents and siblings at the age of one. They came directly to Clarkson and made their home on a farm west of Clarkson for a very short time before moving to a farm north of Clarkson. After attending Colfax and Stanton Co. rural schools Mr. Kvetensky began farming.

He moved to a farm south of Clarkson, where he lived for a short time. In 1946, he moved to Brainard NE where he lived on a farm with his brother Adolph for a number of years.

He was in failing health since July of 1967 and passed away at the Schuyler Memorial Hospital Jan 13, at the age of 58 years, 9 months and 14 days.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Anna Lowder and Mrs. Mary Chleboun, both of Omaha and Mrs. Emil (Lillian) Studnicka of Clarkson and four brothers, James and Emil of Rogers Adolph of Brainard, and Rudolph of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and four brothers.
