Asthma Proves Fatal To Vaclav Kvetensky

Funeral services were conducted in Clarkson Tuesday afternoon for Vaclav Kvetensky, who passed away at his home in Clarkson early Sunday morning. Mr. Kvetensky had been bothered with asthma for a long time but was able to be up and around until about three weeks ago when he became very critically ill. His heart became weak and sank rapidly.

Following grief rites at the Novotny funeral home the remains were escorted to the New Zion church where services were conducted by Rev. B. A. Filipi. Interment was in the Clarkson cemetery. The pall bearers were: Frank Kubik, John Jurik, Rudolf Loukota, G. A. Koza, Frank Humlicek, and Jos. Cernin.

Mr. Kvetensky was born January 10th, 1971 in Bohemia. He was in his 70th at the time of his death. In 1896, while still living in his native country, he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Nunvar. They resided in Bohemia until 1910 when they came to America, locating on a farm in Midland precinct for many years. In 1935 they gave up their farming interests and moved to Clarkson, having maintained their home here to this day.

Besides his widow, Anna Kvetensky, the deceased is survived by thirteen children. They are Emilie, wife of Jos. Perina, Madison; Ladislav Kvetensky, Ord; Annam wife of R. C. Lowder, Omaha; Joseph Kvetensky, Omaha; Marie Blazena, wife of Blahous Chleboun, Stanton; James Kvetensky, Clarkson; Libbie, wife of O. J. Meacham, Omaha: Jaroslav Kvetensky, Clarkson; Rosie, wife of Lumir Hrouda, Stanton; Adolf Kvetensky, Emil Kvetensky, Miss Lillian Kvetensky, and Rudolph Kvetensky, all of Clarkson. Two children Charles (Karel) and Bohumil, preceded their father in death. He also leaves sixteen grandchildren.

Mr. Kvetensky was a member of ZCBJ lodge and New Zion Presbyterian church. He was a good father and respectable citizen.
