Mrs. Effie Fraley, 84, of 158 West Central Ave., Westwood, died Saturday in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Fraley was born May 16, 1899, in Elliott County, a daughter of the late John and Isabella Ison Fraley. She was preceded in death by her husband Volma (Volna) Fraley in 1979. Surviving are six daughters, Stella Cole of Russell, Irene Griffith, Ann Hartman and Linda Fossom (Fosson), all of Ashland, Catherine McDaniel of Plain (Plant) City, FL and Donnie Yoby of Richmond, IN; and five sons, Harold and Raymond E Fraley, both of Ashland, William Fraley of Russell, Ronald Fraley of Middletown, Ohio and James Fraley of Bowhead, AZ. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 am Wednesday at Dixon Cemetery by the Rev Russell Price. The body is at the Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood where friends may call after 6 pm Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Mike Hartman, Bill Fraley, Jr., Don Fraley, Gary Griffith, Curtis Griffith and Rick Fraley.
