Dave R. Shaw
Galena, Kansas--Dave Robert Shaw, 64, died of an apparent heart attack at his home, 1302 Madison Street, at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning.
Mr. Shaw, a foreman at Eagle Picher and an employee there for 45 years became ill while working Wednesday morning and returned to his home. Shortly after arriving there he suffered the attack.
Born in Galena, Jan. 16, 1900, he was a lifetime resident. He was a member of the Sixth Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ruby Coats Shaw, whom he married in 1917; two sons, Max Shaw and Gale Shaw, both of Galena, a daughter Mrs. Lois Hixon of Joplin; three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Patty and Mrs. Daisy Shaw Moore, both of Galena, and Mrs. May Maxey of Spokane, Washington, and 10 grandchildren.
Derfelt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
