Charlotte Hollis was the second child of Lyman Lee and Arrena (McLin) Latimer. She grew up on the family farm north of Holton. Her siblings were: Sarah Jane, Rebecca Elizabeth, Mary Minerva, Lena Mercedes and Grover Lee.
She was married to James William Hollis on Dec. 23, 1908. She and Bill were farmers in the Holton/Soldier area of Jackson County and were members of the Christian Church.
To this union were born two children, Lyman Henderson and Helen Irene. They and her husband were left to mourn her loss. Additional survivors were her mother, Mrs. Arrena Latimer, of Holton, her siblings and their spouses and several nieces and nephews.
