Sara Jane Leeth was the daughter of Lyman Lee and Arrena (McLin) Latimer, the eldest of six children. She grew up on a farm north of Holton. On Jan.21, 1892 she was married to Curtis Leander Leeth and they lived on a farm in the Netawaka community north of Holton.
To this union were born three children, Samuel Herbert, Gertrude Velma and Milburn (Razz) Curtis, all of whom survive, as do her husband and three grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters: Rebecca Elizabeth and her husband, Wm. H. Gruver; Mary Minerva and her husband, Hugh D. Oden; Lena Mercedes and her husband, Henry L. Goldsmith; one brother, Grover Lee and his wife, Anna; one brother-in-law, James Wm.(Bill) Hollis. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Charlotte Arrena (Lottie) Hollis.
