She was a film splicer for Eastman Kodak in Chicago and California. She moved to Portland in 1970 and was an Avon saleswoman and a caregiver. In 1960, she married James; he died in 1968. Survivors include her daughters, Luella Farah, Jean Kaady and Burdette McNamee; brother, Raymond Demar; sisters, Mary Hesalroad, Irene Sexton, Dorothy Dahm and Loretta Schneider; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Her daughter Patricia Dryer died earlier.
