Thompson Funeral Is Held Friday At Clinton Church
  Funeral services for Sam Thompson, 69-year-old Clinton resident and father of four Carnegie men, were held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Clinton First Methodist church.
  Mr. Thompson, who had made his home in Clinton the past 14 years, died Thursday morning in the Oklahoma General Hospital at Clinton.  He was critically ill for five days before his death early Thursday.
  He had made his home at Hinton before moving to Clinton in 1942.
  The services were directed by Rev. A. Blake Hickman, First Methodist minister, and Rev. Luther M. Skaggs, of Eakly.  Burial was at the Clinton cemetery.
  Survivors include the widow, Lula; five sons, Comer Lee, Floyd William, Lex Robert and Oscar Garrett Thompson, all of Carnegie; and Robert M. Thompson, Tulsa; and two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice E. Kardokus, of Apache; and Mrs. Fairy Opal Skaggs, Eakly; three brothers, Virgil and Victor Thompson of Lawton and Ray Thompson of Torrence, Calif.
