Beatrice E. Thompson born September 24, 1909, at Plainview, Texas. She married James Kardokus on December 30, 1933,at Cordell. Three sons and a daughter were born to them. One son preceded her in death in 1937. The family lived in the Oney community before moving to
Apache in 1942. Mr. Kardokus is serving his second term as state representative. Mrs. Kardokus died January 19, 1961 in Lawton, OK. She had taught school at various places in the county, including Anchor, a wing school of the Alfalfa district. She was a member of the Christian church, the Apache chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Apache Flower club and Apache Culture club.
She is survived by her husband, James; two sons, Kerwin of Tulsa and Steve of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Nelda Jo Montgomery; her mother,Mrs. Lou Thompson, Carnegie; four brothers, Comer, Lex and Ted Thompson, all ofCarnegie, and Floyd Thompson, Mangum; one sister, Mrs. Fairy Skaggs, Crescent, Okla.; and one grandson, Kirk, of the home.
