Mrs. Herman Axt Funeral Held

Mrs. Josephine Axt passed away January 26. Funeral services were held at the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home January 29, at 2 p.m. Rev. Harold Hansen officiated. Interment was in the Milo Cemetery.
Josephine Foss was born at Rushford, Minnesota on September 14, 1871. She came to Mille Lacs county with her parents in 1878 and located on a farm in Milo township. She was united in marriage to Herman Axt April 10, 1890, at Foreston and continued to live on the same farm for 52 years. The past several years she lived in Milaca and passed away January 26, at the Princeton hospital after a lingering illness at the age of 92 years, 4 months and 12 days.
Mrs. Axt was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by two sons, Ernest and Earl of Foreston; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Johnson of Minneapolis and Myrtle Axt of Milaca; also five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Frank Deuel of Elmira, N.Y. and several nieces and nephews.
Casket bearers were Arvid Edgren, Myron Northway, George Bemis, Charles DeHart, Lester DeMar and Emil Barnick.
