Hazel Allman, 73, of 252 Vehslage Road, died at 1:05 p.m. Saturday at Jackson County Schneck Memorial Hospital, after being in failing health for several weeks.

She and her husband operated an auction service for more than 40 years in Seymour. She was a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle.

Born July 23, 1910, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Ruth Hendershot Allman. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. She married Oscar "Pip" Allman on Feb. 15. 1929, in Indianapolis. He died on Dec. 9. 1977.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Piel, Seymour; and Corrina "Cordy" Kilgas, Seymour R6; two brothers, Mance Allman and Otho Allman, both of Seymour; three sisters. Mrs. Carrie Irwin, North Vernon: Ms. Lois Jones, Columbus; and Mrs. Eldina Soladine, Freetown; one granddaughter, Patricia Ann Coleman: and one great-grandson, Rod Gerth. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Lee Allman; four brothers; and two sisters.

Services will be conducted at 1 :30 p.m. Tuesday at Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle, with the Rev. Dennis Croucher officiating. Burial will be in Acme Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Voss Chapel and from 11 a.m. to time of services Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be designated to Indiana Bible College.
