Lois G. Jones, 92, of Pence Street, died at 7:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Jones was born in Jackson County Feb. 20, 1913, the daughter of Phillip and Ruthie Hendershot Allman. She married the Rev. Harry E. Jones on Dec. 5, 1935.

She had formerly worked at the Morgan Canning Factory and made mattresses out of her home. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Apostolic Hope Tabernacle Church.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Apostolic Hope Tabernacle Church, 1525 19th St., with the Rev. Dale Goddard officiating. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Calling is 4 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to service time Thursday at the church.

Survivors include grandchildren, Dennis Johnson, Debbie Meek and Carol Mathis, all of Columbus, and Cheryl Lynch of Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Rebekah Goen, Aaron Johnson, Chucky, Buddy and Gregory Bassett, Jack and Holly Meek and Mendi Richards; great-great-grandchildren Jolene Meek, Elizabeth and Emmalee Richards; a daughter-in-law, Denio Johnson of Columbus; a stepdaughter, Barbara Cochran of Nashville; a brother, Otho Allman of Seymour; and a sister Eldena Soladine of Brownstown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Aug. 25, 1993; a son, Charles Johnson; a stepson, Jack Jones; a brother, Mance Allman; and sisters, Carrie Irvin, Grace Olmstead and Hazel Allman.
