Christina Airy was born in Frederick Co, VA in Feb. 1764, died on Feb. 13, 1857 in Summerville, Chattoga Co, GA, at 92 years of age. Her body was interred in Alpine Church Cemetery, Alpine, GA. She married Michael Banner. When Christina's mother died, she went to live with her sister Elizabeth who was married to Philip Long. While there she met Michael Banner. Her sons, John and William probably served in the battles of Emuckfau and Enitachopco, Alabama, in January of 1814 and were headquartered at Fort Strother.

They had 11 children (6 sons & 5 daughters)
