Son of Elijah Holt and Lucy A. Holt, he married Lucretia J. (Bartlett) Traxler of Bennington, New Hampshire, on the 18th of March in 1871, in a ceremony performed by Justus Fisher, Justice of the Peace, in Nelson, New Hampshire. She was the former wife of William Traxler.

On January 31, 1877 Frank was working at the cotton mill when he got his left arm caught in the machinery. His arm was so badly mangled that he had to have it amputated between the wrist and the elbow. This was particularly devastating as Frank was left-handed.

Consequently, Frank ran the stage line and also carried the mail between Munsonville and Harrisville for a time.

He developed a lung infection in the autumn of 1890 and later died. He was buried in the Munsonville Cemetery on December 10, with the services being officiated by the Rev. C.B. Elder of Keene.

Other Known Children:
Albert Everett (1874)
