MARION - James F. Brown, 71 years old, native of Marion County, died Tuesday at Baltimore, Md. after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at Little Bethel Baptist Church at 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon with the Rev. F. C. Metts officiating. Interment will follow in the Brown Cemetery.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Bessie Smith Brown; two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Batts and Miss Lucy Brown of Marion; a son, Legrand Brown of Marion; a sister, Mrs. C. F. Curry of Mullins; three brothers, Walker, Bruce and Mack Brown, all of Marion.
