MARION - Maxcy Monroe Brown, 63, died about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a retired farmer and merchant, a son of the late Asbury and Elizabeth Odom Brown of Marion County.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday from Smith Brothers Funeral Home by the Rev. J. A. Faile, Burial will be in New Life Cemetery.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Kate Brown of Marion; two daughters, Mrs. S. F. Sizemore of Birmingham, Ala. and Mrs. Gaston Hodges of Dillon; six sons, Earl Brown of Chelsea, Mich., Harry Brown of Baltimore, Md., Kenneth Brown of Boston, Mass., Ray Brown of Mullins, Frank Brown of Spokane, Wash. and Bobby Brown of Marion; and one sister, Mrs. C. F. Curry of Mullins.
