Schuyler Pope, aged 76, of Edmeston died at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital on October 27, where he had been a patient for several weeks. He was born on April 15, 1880, at Lena,, the son of James and Julia (Johnson) Pope. He married Eloise Jarvis on October 10, 1906 at Fly Creek. She died in 1951.
He was a farmer.......
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Esther Rhyde of Richfield Springs; Mrs. Harold Vibbard of Edmeston and Mrs. Anton Hribar of Richfield Springs two sons, Rufus J. of Richfield Springs, and Robert S. of Rochester; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday ...... Burial was in Fly Creek Cemetery.
