Gordon A. Sullivan Sr., 86, of Tully and formerly of Lafayette, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012, at VA Medical Center, Syracuse. Mr. Sullivan was born in Binghamton. As a member of the Teamsters, he was a truck driver for most of his adult life. He was a life member of the LaFayette Fire Department, a member of LaFayette VFW Post and Tully Community Church. Gordon enjoyed bowling, pitch and bingo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Krischke Sullivan, on August 18, 2004. Gordon is survived by his daughter, Teresa M (Greg) Hoxie of LaFayette; two sons, Gordon (Niki) Sullivan Jr. of Pompey and Thomas (Peggy) Sullivan of Canastota; a sister, Ellen (Lou) Freelove of Winterpark, FL; two brothers, his twin Grant (Marion) Sullivan of Greene and Richard (Martha) of Chittenango; three grandchildren, David Allen Hoxie, Austin Andrew Sullivan and Ashley Nicole Sullivan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 2584 Field Lane, LaFayette. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cortland, Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to LaFayette Fire Department or Tully Community Church.
