Mr. Behling suffered a paralytic stroke several weeks ago, which deprived him of his powers of speech and hearing. He was stricken with pneumonia on Friday.
Born in Germany on Oct. 24, 1842, he came to America as a young man and was married to (Jo)Anna Gerlach, who died a few years later, leaving him with two small daughters. He later married Tina Heller, who died on Dec. 26, 1933, exactly six weeks before his death. Husband and wife were taken ill at the same time.
Surviving relatives include (four) daughters and one son, Mattie, Mrs. Phillip Kohl; Edith, Mrs. Henry Dageforde; and Anna, Mrs. Edwin Dix, all of Rock township; Bertha, Mrs. Gust Heinrichs, Lincoln township; and William, on the home farm.
Others are the following: Henry Behling, Chili, a brother; Mrs. John Kohl, Lincoln, a sister; and three half-sisters: Augusta, in California; Mrs. Mary Wheeler, Green Bay; and Mrs. Bertha Auclair, Antigo.
The Rev. A. G. Diemer will conduct the services Thursday, and burial will take place in the family lot at the Nasonville cemetery.

Nasonville, Feb. 10 - Funeral services for William Behling, 92, who died of pneumonia Monday night at the home of his son, William, Jr., town of Lynn, were held Thursday afternoon from the home and St. John's Lutheran church.
The Rev. A. G. Diemer officiated, and burial was made in the family lot. Pallbearers were six grandsons, Alfred Dix, Mervin Heinrich, Phillip Kohl, jr., Theodore Dageforde, William Heinrich, and Henry Dageforde.
Two songs, "Jerusalem the Golden," and "Abide With Me," were sung by the church choir composed of Arlene and Helen Ott, John Steltenpohl, and Reinhold Ott.
Mr. Behling is survived by one son, William, jr., on the home farm; and four daughters; Mrs. Phillip Kohl, Mrs. Henry Dageforde, Mrs. Edwin Dix, town of Rock; and Mrs. Gust Heinrich, town of Lincoln. His wife preceded him in death six weeks ago.
There are also one brother, Henry, Chili; a sister, Mrs. John Kohl, town of Lincoln; and three half-sisters, Augusta, California; Mrs. Mary Wheeler, Green Bay; and Mrs. Bertha Auclair, Antigo; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who survive.
