Esther died in childbirth of a baby boy. The baby boy was buried in the same casket.

Stockbridge – Mrs. Eugene Elmergreen, 31, who died at St. Agnes hospital, Fond du Lac, last Wednesday, was laid to rest in St. Mary’s church cemetery here Saturday morning. Last services were held at the church at 9:30 with the Rev. Michael Gonnering officiating.

Mrs. Elmergreen, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Franzen was born about a mile and a half south of this village, Nov. 7, 1906. She attended St. Mary’s school and Stockbridge high school graduating from the latter institution in 1926. After teaching for several years she married Eugene Elmergreen, Milwaukee, at Oesu church in May, 1933. The young couple lived in Milwaukee until three years ago when they moved to Stockbridge.

Survivors besides her husband are two small children, Rosalie and David, her father, Nick Franzen; two brothers, Walter, Plymouth and Ernest at home. Her mother died about two years ago.
