Lillie (Lil) Hunnicutt Robinson of Little Rock passed away peacefully on the morning of August 15, 2012 at the age of 87. She was born on October 11, 1924 to India Mae Poindexter and Robert Lee Hunnicutt. She graduated from Fourche Valley High School in 1941 and moved to Little Rock to serve in a munitions plant during WWII. Shortly after arriving in Little Rock, she met the love of her life, Raymond. Lil was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Raymond, her parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She was a long time member of Immanuel Baptist Church, joining with Raymond in 1947 and serving in many capacities. They were members of a young couples' class at Immanuel where they met many lifelong friends. As a young couple, they served in the youth department, leading training union and many youth activities. Lil was involved in Royal Ambassadors and Girls Auxiliary with her children and had a passion for bringing children to the Lord. At Immanuel, she was a Sunday school teacher for over 50 years, the last 40 as teacher of the Love Live Life Women's Class (sometimes called "Lil's Lovely Ladies"). In 1975, she helped found Friendship International, an outreach to international women in central Arkansas where she served faithfully until 2010 as a Bible teacher and as President in the early years. She had a love for missions, and served in many capacities in WMU, including WMU President. She was involved as a group leader in Bible Study Fellowship for 20 years. She was a member of the Pulpit Search Committee that called Rex Horne to Immanuel in 1990. She has served as a prayer partner in the Immanuel Food Pantry, where she prayed with individuals as they came to get food. She was active in the Watchman and IMPACT prayer ministries and prayed for each family member every day. Her love for Jesus was evident to all as she served her family, church, and the community tirelessly.
