Odas Hunnicutt, 86 of Hot Springs, died Saturday, July 29, 2006, in a local hospital. He was born August 18, 1919, at Gravelly, Arkansas. He was a member of Grand Avenue Methodist Church, U. S. Army World War II veteran and was district manager of Rephan's Department Stores for 41 years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Hunnicutt; his mother, India Mae Poindexter) Hunnicutt; his wife, Esther Hunnicutt; one sister, Beulah Ball; and two brothers, Opal Hunnicutt and Oral Hunnicutt.

Survivors include one daughter, Beckie (Hunnicutt Campbell of Little Rock, Arkansas; one son and daughter-in-law, William and Eileen Hunnicutt of Hot Springs; two sisters, Lil Robinson of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Grace Brasher of Gravelly, Arkansas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The service was held Wednesday, August 2, 2006, in Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pam Estes officiating. Pallbearers were Rod Rupe, Kent Hunnicutt, Randy Hunnicutt, Marvin Frank, Mike Robinson, and Jerry Campbell. Honorary pallbearers were Bernard Rephan, Tommy Robertson, Virgil Goodwin, Jim Lature, and Jim Lucas. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery, Hot Springs. Arrangements by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
