Richard was born Aug. 30, 1934, in Lebanon, Pa., to Alfred and Carrie Behney. Richard retired from the U.S. Air Force after more than 20 years of service. He loved collecting guns, gardening, going to garage sales, collecting records and listening to music. Richard was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and boxing. He never stopped learning, always gaining new knowledge. Although he was known to be stubborn, Richard had a big heart, a great sense of humor, and he will be missed by all those he loved.
Survivors: Wife of more than 47 years, Mary Behney; children, Jennine Behney-Godwin, Kenneth Behney, Jacqueline Rogers, Andrea Little, Suzan Behney-Arnold, Cheryl Behney and Cynthia Rosson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his dog, Spike.
