Hiram Britton "H B" Miller was born in the Karber's Ridge area of Elizabethtown, Hardin Co, Illinois, the son of Tilford Hugh Miller (1852-1909) & his 2nd wife Martha Ann Matilda Susan Juline York (1858-1894).

He was married on 17 Sep 1899 to Sarah "Ellen" Eaton (1881-1974), who was the daughter of John Nelson Eaton (1856-1903) & Emery "Emma" McFarlan (1852-1898). They were married at Marion, Crittenden Co, Kentucky, at the home of Sarah Elizabeth Jackson McFarlan Belt, the bride's maternal grandmother.

A farmer & a miner, H B eventually moved from Kentucky to Montana about 1914 & settled in the mining town of Butte, Silver Bow Co. However, by 1920 the family had moved to the western part of the state, settling north of Missoula, near the small farming community of Charlo in Lake Co.

Hiram B Miller 91, of 1116 South Morain Street in Kennewick, Washington died at Hawthorne House on December 20, 1970.

Survivors included sons Llalon G Miller in Kennewick, Barton Miller of Phoenix, Arizona, Floyd Miller at Post Falls, Idaho, Hillard Miller in Anchorage, Alaska and Shanaus Miller of Wickenburg, Arizona, daughter Opal Miller at Stanton, California, fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and three 2nd-gret-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held in Mueller's Funeral Home, and burial was in Desert Lawn Cemetery.
