John Carl Dies Sunday, Was 92
STRATFORD- John Carl, 92, died at 2:30pm Sunday at the Sunnyvale Manor in Wausau where he had resided for the past three years. His wife had preceded him in death there 10 days ago.

Services will be conducted at 10am Wednesday at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Stratford with the Rev. E J Thome officiating. Burial will be made in the parish cemetery.

The body will repose at the Sauter Funeral Home in Stratford from Tuesday morning until time of services. There will be a Rosary Altar Society rosary at 3pm Tuesday and a parish rosary at 7:30pm Tuesday.

Mr Carl was born April 12, 1874 at Hollantown, and in 1877 the family moved to Unity where they resided for a brief time before coming to the town of Eau Pleine in Marathon County. His marriage to Florence Castonia, who preceded him in death Feb 10, 1967, took place April 10, 1907, in Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Webertown.

After their marriage, the couple made their home in the town of Eau Pleine, with the exception of three years at Rib Lake. Eight years ago they came to Stratford, and for the past three years had been at the Sunnyvale Manor in Wausau.

Survivors are four sons, Wilfred, Fort Atkinson; Norbert, William, and Edward, all of the town of Eau Pleine; three daughters, Mrs Joseph (Ida) Gerl, Stratford; Mrs Marie Breitenstein, Stevens Point; and Miss Jessie Carl, Sunnyvale Manor, Wausau; a brother, Frank Carl, town of Eau Pleine; 21 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
