On February 11th, 1908, "The Reaper" entered the home of O. N. Vista and took from the home the loving wife and mother, Mrs. Caroline Vista, nee Hausky. After a very short period of patient suffering illness, death claimed her. She has been to their home all that a beloved wife and mother could possibly be and was beloved by all that knew her.
Caroline Hausky was born on April 12th, 1868 at Whalen, Fillmore county, Minn. Was married to O. N. Vista, July 3rd, 1894 and in July 1905 came to their homestead north of town to join her husband. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband and eight children, a father, three brothers and two sisters. The bereaved have the sympathy of the entire community. The remains were laid to rest in the St. Olaf cemetery by loving hands of her many neighbors and friends.
The many friends and neighbors of Mr. N. O. Vista and family, in their own behalf, defrayed all expenses of removing his four youngest children to the home of relatives in South Dakota, where they will be kept for the present. This surely shows the heartfelt sympathy they have for their bereaved neighbor and friend. Mrs. Ed. Hovda accompanied the children, taking charge of the infant baby. - Turtle Lake. (N. Dak.,) Wave.
