He was born in Lewiston, March 18, 1944, a son of the late Albert E. and Clara Crabtree Russell Sr. He was educated in Lewiston schools.
Al served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict, retiring after 22 years of service. He then worked at Pioneer Plastic as a pipefitter.
He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Warren Russell; and his wife, the former Evelyn Turcotte.
