EVANS, HARVEY
Harvey Evans died July 21, 1962. He was a native of Angelica, where he was born on October 11, 1881 to Daniel and Emma Wafler Evans. Mr. Evans had spent most of his life in Friendship, where he was a farmer. In 1904 Harvey and three friends traveled to the Great Northwest to claim land under the Homestead Act. However, he came back to Allegany County where on Oct 12, 1910 he was married to Clarissa Louise Burbank of West Almond. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Friendship. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Clarissa Burbank Evans; two sons, the Rev. A. Daniel Evans, Richford, N.Y., and Wilfred Evans; two daughters, Mrs. Neil Cross, Friendship, and Mrs. Harry Ferguson, North Collins; a brother, Clair Evans, Angelica; a sister, Miss Nora Evans, Angelica; 12 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Richard E. Burt Funeral Home at Angelica. The Rev. A. Daniel Evans and the Rev. Robert Campbell officiated and burial was in the Angelica Cemetery.
