EVANS, EMMA MARIA WAFLER
Born May 15, 1854, in this village of David and Mary Ann Rohr Wafler; died Mar. 3, 1932. On Dec. 16, 1873, she married Daniel S. Evans of West Almond. Six children were born from this union. Viola, the oldest daughter died in 1899 at the age of 16 years. She is survived by a daughter, Miss Nora Evans of New York City; four sons, Harvey Evans of Friendship, Harry of Belmont, David and Clair, both of Angelica Lot 169.

EMMA EVANS
After an illness of about three weeks, Emma *Almira Wafler Evans was called to her heavenly home, early Friday evening, March 3, 1932. She was born May 15, 1854 in this village and has always lived in this vicinity. On Dec. 16, 1873 she was united in marriage to Daniel S. Evans of West Almond. Six children were born from this union. Viola, the oldest daughter died in 1899 at the age of 16 years. In the year of 1889 she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and at that time joined the Methodist Episcopal churdh of this place and has been a loyal and consistent Christian ever since. The 19th Psalm was to her a precious jewel from God's Word, and she referred to it during her last illness. She lead a devoted life in her home and for her family. There are five children who survive to mourn her loss: Nora of New York City, Harry of Belmont, Harvey of Friendship, David and Clair of this place (Angelica). Funeral services were held at her late home Sunday afternoon. Her Pastor L.E. Vaughn officiated, assisted by Rev. Bixby of the Baptist Church. She was tenderly carried to her last resting place by her four sons. (from Angelica newspaper obituary)

Died, at his farm home east of Angelica, Friday morning, July 27, 1888, of consumption, Mr. David Wafler, aged 78 years. The deceased was a native of Switzerland and came to the United States in 1837, and to Allegany county in 1850. His first wife was Miss Mary Ann Rohr, a Rochester lady, by whom he had 7 children, 5 of whom survive, as follows: - David, of Weyauwega, Wis., William, of West Almond; Mrs. P.G. Hammond, Charles, and Mrs. (Emma) D.S. Evans, all of this town. About 30 years ago he married for his second wife Catherine Gibson, by whom he had a son, John, who survives. Lot 198
