Born Oct. 6, 1924, in Frederick County, Mrs. Ambush was a daughter of the late James H. and Martha (Proctor) Ambush.
Mrs. Ambush was a member of the Bell's Chapel United Methodist Church, Dickerson, and had been employed as a domestic for many years.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Ambush is survived by three sons, Henry E. Ambush Jr. of Washington, D.C., Eric A. Ambush of Frederick and Kenneth W. Ambush, Adamstown; two grandchildren, Robin M. Ambush, Frederick, and Tracey Ambush, Gaithersburg; one sister, Mrs. Mary M. Ambush, Adamstown, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 11 a.m.9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Luther O Brown will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
