"Mrs. Margaret E. Bannan, 81, died Sunday at a local hospital. She lived in Longbranch and was a native of Kilkenny, Minn. She came to Sumner in 1888 from Minnesota, resided in Tacoma from 1910 to 1915, when she went to Longbranch. She was the widow of William Bannan who died in 1930. She was a member of Women of Woodcraft and of St. Nicholas Church at Gig Harbor.
She leaves sons James D. of Tacoma, J. Arthur of Hoquiam, William D. of the U.S. Merchant Marines, Joseph E. of Blaine and Thomas A. of Bremerton; brothers, John Doyle of Minnesota and Walter of Sedro Wooley; sisters Mrs. Elizabeth Balfe and Mrs. Anna Cummings of Minnesota; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild."
