Per The Bremers and Their Kin in Germany and in Texas by Robinson, Julius was born on September 2, 1849. The book states that Julius and his wife Emma were first buried at Cranes Mill in the Julius Bremer family plot. A granddaughter, Ella (Bremer) Voigt, and her husband later had the graves of members of the Julius Bremer family moved to Comal Cemetery in New Braunfels.
A separate gravestone is still in Bremer Cemetery, Comal County. This one shows a birth date of 28 October 1849.
