Moscow -- Virginia Bugh, a former paint department manager, died of complications from emphysema Friday at her home at Moscow.

She was 65.

She was born Feb. 26, 1928, at Troy, Idaho, to Ole and Bertha Pudwell Johnson. Her mother died when she was a child, and her father married Tillie Carlson.

She was employed by Phychiana at Moscow for a time, and married Robert Scholes at Orofino in 1951. They were later divorced.

In March 1972 she married Raymond L. Bugh at Coeur d'Alene. The couple owned and operated Moscow Building Supply, and she ran the paint department for 15 years.

She considered her work a hobby, and she also enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include her husband of Moscow; a daughter, Linda Babb of Bovill; a son, Robert M. Scholes of Moscow; two stepsons, Kenneth Garrett of Moscow and Norman Garrett of Lewiston; a stepdaughter, Shirley Hadley of Juliaetta; two brothers, Ole Johnson and Bertil Johnson, both of Moscow; two sisters, Viola Wedin of San Marcos, Calif., and Vera Johnson of Pollock, S.D.; a stepbrother, Charles Carlson of Texas; two stepsisters, Ruth Hall of Lewiston and Beverly Innocenti of Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren and several stepgrandchildren.

A sister, Lorraine Visser, and two stepsisters, Alice Dillahunt and Leona Carlson, died previously.

A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Short's Funeral Chapel at Moscow, with the Rev. Dave McGarrah of Moscow Nazarene Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Moscow Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be given to the Latah County Home Health Department.
