ANDREWS—Mrs. Alice Hyman Alford, 93, widow of Ellie Parker Alford, died Saturday [July 26].
Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Wash and Carrie Elizabeth Hutchinson Hyman. She was a member of Happy Home Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Rutledge, John H., Nathan and Etheridge “Noot” Alford; daughters, Mrs. Alice Parrott, Mrs. Louise Evans, Mrs. Lizzie Mae Cox and Mrs. Evelyn Swails, all of Andrews; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. today to Happy Home Free Will Baptist Church, with burial in the St. John Free Will Baptist Church cemetery near Hannah.
Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway is in charge.
