MRS. SARAPHINE BARNES WILCOX, native of Jackson County, Miss., a resident of Mobile, Ala., for the past 40 years, died Friday afternoon, August 10th, 1951, at 2:10 o'clock. She is survived by one son, Jesse E. Barnes, Mobile, Ala.; two daughters, Mrs. Inez Van Dyke and Mrs. Mae Simpkins both of Mobile, Ala.; one sister, Mrs. Carrie Wheeler, Biloxi, Miss.; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of the Higgins Mortuary Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. The body will then be shipped to Biloxi, Miss., where further funeral services will be held from the Bradford Funeral Home, Biloxi, Miss., Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Mrs. Wilcox was a member of Mobile Chapter No. 348, Order of the Eastern Star. Internment will be in Biloxi, Miss. Funeral arrangements in Mobile by Higgins Mortuary.

Mrs Saraphin Barn Wilcox, 80, native of South Mississippi and resident most of her life of Biloxi, but who has been in Mobile for 11 years, died at her home, 350 Michigan avenue, Mobile. The body will be brought to Biloxi this afternoon arriving at 5:17 pm and services will be held at Bradford Funeral Home at 2 pm Sunday by Rev. E. A. DeMiller, assisted by Rev Bernie C. Barnes, a grandson. Burial will be in Biloxi Cemetery. Mrs Wilcox was a member of the Eastern Star, Mobile chapter 348. The Ann Grayson Chapter of Biloxi will conduct ritual services at the grave. Mrs Wilcox is survived by a son, Jessie E., Mobile; and two daughters, Mrs Inez VanDyck and Mrs May Simkins, Mobile; a sister, Mrs C.A. Wheeler, Biloxi; 10 grandchildren and other relatives, including Mrs. Wesley Dunbar and Emile Bosarge, Biloxi.
