MR ELZE LEE BARNES-a native of Moss Point, Miss., a resident of Mobile for many years, died at the family residence, 1307 Grove St., Sat. morning May 14, 1949, at 2:50 o'clock. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Flora W Barnes of Mobile; 1 son Mr Burney C. Barnes of Mobile; 5 dau Mrs Irvin Jordon, Miss Martha & Miss Margaret Barnes all of Mobile, Mrs F T Rose of Port Arthur, Texas; Mrs Leon Gould of Houston, Texas; 1 brother Mr Jesse Barnes of Mobile; 2 sisters Mrs Richard Simpkins & Mrs Peter Van Dyke, both of Mobile; his mother Mrs Sarah Phine Wilcox of Mobile; 14 grandchildren, 2 gr-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the parlors of Martin-Chevalier Funeral Home, 110 S. Broad St., Monday evening at 3 o'clock. Interment will be in the Pine Crest Cemetery. Arrangements by Martin-Chavalier.
