Mrs. Simon Hoffmann died at her home in New Holstein on Monday, following an illness of nine days from bronchial pneumonia.
Mathilde Koehler a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Koehler was born in the town of Charlestown on the 16th day of November 1889, where she resided until May 30, 1911 when she was married to Simon Hoffmann of the village of New Holstein. She was well thought of in the neighborhood in which she spent her young life and was also esteemed in the village of New Holstein and wherever she was known.
Besides her husband she is survived by her parents, four brothers, John P., Frank, Hugo and Raymond Koehler and two sisters, Mrs. Geo. Salm of Chilton town and Miss Leona Koehler of Charlestown.
The funeral was held from St. Martin's church, of which she was a devout member until she moved to New Holstein, Rev. Fr. Sturmius Hoertl officiating with interment in St. Martin's cemetery
