PIONEER OKLAHOMA WOMAN SUCCUMBS--
CHELSEA, MAY 27,1939
Sarah Jane CARNAHAN, 93, a Kentuckian who came to Oklahoma in 1887, died tonight at her home here of complications attributed to a fall last Sept.
She settled near Guthrie on coming to Oklahoma. Later she had charge of the Turkey Track ranch near Drumright.Before coming to Chelsea in 1914,
She operated a hotel at Ripley, Okla.
Survivors include three sons: Baxter Brag Carnahan, Drumright Charles,of Cushing; and James Everett,Chelsea. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

She was the wife of Sephroneous C. CARNAHAN who was born Oct 10,1842.
