Widow of Pioneer Merchant of City Dies at Milwaukee
Mrs. Anna E. Sieker, widow of William Sieker, died at her home at 592 Stowell avenue, Milwaukee, yesterday afternoon after a prolonged illness. The body will be brought here Monday morning and will be taken to the German Lutheran church South Eighth street, from where the funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be at Evergreen and Rev. Carl Machmiller will be in charge of the services both at the church and at the grave. Mrs. Sieker was for many years a resident of this city where her husband was engaged in business under the firm ame (sic) of Sieker and Croll, and later Sieker & Woller. Mr. Sieker died in 1905 and some time later the widow moved to Milwaukee to take up her home. She was born at West Granville sixty-seven years ago and came to Manitowoc to teach school, marrying William Sieker in 1876. Following her marriage her parents moved to this city. Mrs. Sieker is survived by seven children, Mrs. Albert Froelke, of Neenah, Miss Tecnie, Miss Lillian and Mrs. Herman Kionka, Milwaukee; Mrs. William Kanzier, Reedsburg, Mrs. Anna Wolters, Sheboygan and Mrs. Lee Alberts, Kansas City and by three (sic) brothers, Frank, S.D., and William Croll of this city.
